A  puppy  lay on a  rug  next to the sofa  . Suddenly he heard someone say Meow. Someone says - Meow ! 

The puppy looked up - no one.

She thought -I must have heard wrong and she lay down comfortably.

And then someone said again:

- Meow!

The dog calls - who's there?

The puppy jumps up, runs across the room. Under the bed, began to look under the table but no one!

He climbed onto the windowsill and saw a rooster walking outside the window in the yard.

 The puppy thinks - so this is the one that won't let me sleep!. He ran into the yard to the rooster.

The puppy asked the rooster - did you say meow? 

- No, I didn't say. I call it like this. The rooster flapped his wings and shouted - Ku-ka-re-ku-oo!

"Can't you say anything else?" - asks the puppy 

 Rooster says - No, I can only call.

The puppy heard the meow again as he walked back to his house. He started digging in the ground near the balcony. And found a way. 

He asked the rat  - what did you do?? 

The rat was afraid to see him and said - No! Chi-chi-chi. 

Suddenly, there was a noise from the dog house in the house. 

- Meow!

The puppy ran around the guard dog house three times, but found no one. After some time the guard dog came out and started barking. 
The dog asked him in fear - did you meow?  

The guard dog replied - I don't meow meow. I bark. 

The dog ran towards the garden. There he lay under a bush. And then, right above his ear, someone said— 

- Meow!

The puppy looked out from under the bush. Right in front of him, on a flower, sat a bee. 
The puppy thought - this is what Meow said!  

He tried to bite her with his teeth. The bee got very angry and started biting the puppy. 

The puppy tells him - ah! Ah! don't kill me Well did you make a meow noise?! 

Bee said - No! I don't do meow meow. Edge Edge Edge! Why did you try to bite me? Now bite me. 

The puppy ran and dived into the water to escape the bee's sting. He remained submerged until the bee left. After a while he came out of the water.

Again he heard - Mew!

The puppy asked the fish that passed him - did you say meow? 

The fish did not answer, waved its tail and disappeared into the depths of the pond.

  Suddenly, a frog sitting on the leaves of the shapla laughed. And said - don't you know that fish do not talk?

The puppy asks the frog - did you say meow?

 The frog laughed and said - how stupid you are! After that the frog jumped into the water without saying anything.

The puppy went home. He fell down on the rug near the sofa, upset.

And suddenly I heard 

- Meow!!!

He saw a cat by the window. He saw him and said - what did you do?!  

The cat said - meow! Meow! yes 

Hearing his words, the puppy started barking. The cat was frightened by his call and jumped out of the window. 

Then the puppy lay down on his bed with relief. 

Now he knows who does meow meow.
